"A little help no matter how small it is, it can be a bless to those people who need it most. The gap between rich and poor is increasing and large organizations cannot deal with so much poverty in today's world. For that reason, we would like to contribute to our society throughout micro-philanthropy with our motto of helping people regardless how little our help is. A small gesture can change someone's life, as well as, brings hope to those who have lost them." - Fernando M. Alvarez

   Meet Our Leadership Team

The mission of our founders is to get closer to people with low income to ease their daily problems through our projects. We seek for alliances in our projects to meet the needs of families featured in our stories.

Jose R. Dorce, Cofounder

"Sharing a little to help those less fortunate to help themselves has always been something I strongly believe. My lovely grandmother always told me that when the sun rises it rises for all of us. Whether at the World Bank, Mexico, London, or Washington DC, schools or as Director of development programs in nonprofit organizations, a large part of my career has been dedicated to help those who need ( just a little push) – Zapatos Rotos is a brilliant project where we identify, verify and one to one help those in need. At Zapatos Rotos we use micro-philanthropy as a main and innovative tool to help directly those who need help, by creating income sources. That way we help people help themselves." - Jose R. Dorce
